System 6
Black and white, 512×342, and a machine that booted from a floppy in under twenty seconds. System 6 ran on the Mac Plus and SE — the compact all-in-one Macs with the handle on top. Emulated here in Mini vMac, which is small and fast enough to run smoothly on a phone.
If something here will not run on a later machine, this is usually why: a program written for a Mac Plus often depends on a 512×342 one-bit screen and breaks on anything larger or in colour. These are also the fastest titles on the site, and the only ones genuinely comfortable on a phone.
